Stele of a King of Akkad at the Louvre Museum

Fragment of Victory Stele
 of a King of Akkad
Sb 3
Richelieu room 2
Akkad is identified as the ancient city
of Agade, the precise location of which is unknown.
It was one of the four cities founded
by Nimrod formed “the beginning of his kingdom” - Genesis 10:10.
The naked captives are a good illustration
of Isaiah 20:1-4, even though it does not refer to the same king.
